Organist

I am an experienced organist, regularly playing for church services and concerts.

As Assistant Organist at St John’s Episcopal Church since 2006 I have accompanied the choir in a number of major works including Durufle’s Requiem , Rutter’s Requiem, Jenkins’ The Armed Man, Vierne’s Messe solennelle, Finzi’s Magnificat, and Walton’s Coronation Te Deum. In February 2010 I accompanied on a CD recording made by the choir (Sing the seasons).

I have worked with a number of other choirs, including the Garleton Singers. In 2010 and 2011 I accompanied them in performances of Kodaly’s ‘Missa Brevis’, Liszt’s Missa Choralis and Rutter’s Gloria.

As a solo player I did an organ recital as part of my final exams at Edinburgh University, and won the Anderson Organ Competition. I received a scholarship to travel to Paris and studied organ with Susan Landale. I also attended the Oundle Organ Summer School on a scholarship from the University. I have given recitals in London, Aberdeen Cathedral, Cambridge (Emmanuel College), and Edinburgh (most recently at St Cuthbert’s Parish Church).
